The University of Dayton School of Education and Allied Professions prepares teachers, administrators and other professionals who can effectively communicate,
solve complex problems, show moral compassion and apply solutions to the issues confronting schools and society. |
 |
 |
| To continue its tradition of excellence in education and the allied professions, UD has committed itself to constant innovation - combining proven methods and traditions
with new ideas and learning techniques. Students receive a high level of personal attention from faculty. They learn essential teaching and critical-thinking skills. A supportive learning environment in the Catholic, Marianist tradition remains a hallmark. |

 |
At the same time, the School of Education and Allied Professions is implementing new ideas that challenge the status quo in higher education. The school is creating
curricula that connect classroom learning to professional experience, service and research. Classrooms are being added and renovated to make them flexible learning spaces for group interaction. State-of-the-art educational technology will give students solid skills in research and analysis as well as a greater opportunity
for dialogue and interaction. Faculty members with diverse backgrounds and expertise are being recruited to expose students to the diversity they'll encounter in schools and other work settings.
And, with all of these innovations, the School of Education and Allied Professions is containing costs and creatively reallocating resources. |
