For 150 years, we have prepared students to make a difference in the world. Caring faculty and staff help students acquire the knowledge, skills and religious and moral convictions to work with others and address society's critical issues. Students' hearts, minds and spirits are transformed. Through connected learning - theory combined with practice, intellect with emotion, and faith with reason - this tradition continues.
Connected learning melds classroom and real-world experiences. Faculty experts work side by side with students to marry ideas and make connections between disciplines. Building and classroom design brings people together physically and spiritually. Students, faculty, community leaders and business executives couple face-to-face meetings with electronic communication. Students have countless opportunities to apply what they've learned.

The University of Dayton is funding connected learning through reallocation of funds and investment in new revenue-generating programs. We have also initiated the Call to Lead Campaign to raise $150 million by June 30, 2002, for connected learning initiatives and the programs that support them, including faculty and faculty development, scholarships, partnerships, facilities and technology, and annual funds. The Call to Lead Campaign will increase UD's national leadership in Catholic higher education and continue its tradition of producing distinctive graduates who are prepared to learn, lead and serve. |
